The 16" wide center case is CNC laser cut, formed, robot welded and has a CNC machined center out of .188" 4130 chrome moly steel. The 16" width allows the suspension brackets to be welded to the axle tubes as narrow as 20.5" outside width with a centered pinion. Internal axle tube gussets increase case rigidity and stabilize the axle tubes. Fill sleeve and drain plug bosses are factory welded in the center case. The 3/8-24" 12-point 3rd member studs thread into the housing face from the inside.
