Upgrade your original factory spindles to improved and newly manufactured forged spindles from Total Control Products. Using modern steel alloys with increased durability and strength, forgings are based upon Ford’s proven 1970-73 disc-brake spindle, known for its large bearing size and stouter, more radiused design. The spindle can be used with most compact and intermediate sized ‘60s and ‘70s Ford/Mercury vehicles due to common upper and lower balljoint tapers and spindle height. However, the larger spindle pin and outer tie rod taper, redesigned axle flange, and caliper mounts require brake system upgrades for earlier vehicles. Tie-rod and bump-steer conversion sets are also available from Total Control Products to complete your installation. This product is strongly recommended for vehicles with upgraded brakes or fitted with performance tires due to the increased amount of force subjected to the spindle.
